Alex Wregg is a screenwriter, director and creator of immersive theatre. He is based in Sydney.

His immersive theatrical shows are globally successful, having sold over 75,000 tickets to date. They have been staged in 5 countries and more than 30 cities around the world. These include Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, London, Vancouver, Toronto and Auckland.

ABOUT

Alex has a film background and was the host of the cinema criticism show "Pulling Focus" - which aired on Sydney public transport and on the snackabletv.tv digital platform. Check out some episodes here.

He also writes screenplays for film and television. His feature film script The Bushrangers made the final round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, while his TV pilot Styx Rising was a finalist in the PAGE Awards.

Alex was also part of the Ugliano Screenwriters Masterclass that was run by Caroline Goodall and James V. Hart in Volterra, Italy. While attending he had his first feature screenplay No Man’s Land workshopped by Hollywood notables Michael Hoffman and Olivia Hetreed.

In the past, Alex worked in film production, including a stint at Weta Digital in New Zealand where he worked on Avatar, District 9 and The Lovely Bones. He also worked at the Australian Classification Board as the primary government contact for film and game distributors including Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and Nintendo.
